The Women Development Cell (WDC) of our college organized a seminar on Personal Hygiene on 12th September. The session was conducted in collaboration with Myna Mahila Foundation, a well-known organization working towards women’s health and menstrual hygiene awareness.
The seminar aimed to spread awareness among students about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and to break taboos surrounding menstrual health. The resource persons from Myna Mahila Foundation provided valuable insights on best practices for daily hygiene, ways to prevent infections, and the importance of open discussions on menstrual health.
As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were distributed to the participants, emphasizing the need for accessibility and usage of hygienic products during menstruation. The interactive session also encouraged students to ask questions and clarify doubts, thus creating a comfortable environment to address a sensitive yet crucial topic.
The program proved to be highly beneficial, promoting awareness and encouraging healthy practices among young women. The WDC expressed gratitude to the Myna Mahila Foundation for their support in making the event successful.
