The University of Mumbai, in collaboration with Vande Mataram Degree College, organized events to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on October 1, 2025. As part of the celebrations, the NSS Unit and Cultural Committee of Vande Mataram Degree College participated in a Nasha Mukti Abhiyan Rally.

The rally aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society, aligning with Mahatma Gandhi's values. 4 NSS unit volunteers carried banners and placards with awareness slogans, interacted with the public, and sensitized citizens about the importance of self-discipline and healthy living. The event reflected the NSS motto "Not Me, But You", with active participation from volunteers making the programme a success.
