Voters Awareness Rally Association with KDMC and NSS Unit of Vande Mataram College, Dombivli (W)
On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, the NSS Unit of Vande Mataram Degree College, Dombivli (W), in collaboration with Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), organized a voter awareness Rally on 25th January 2025. The rally aimed to educate and inspire the local community, especially the youth, about the importance of voting and active participation in the democratic process. Objectives of event to create awareness about the significance of voting among citizens, to encourage first-time voters to register and exercise their right to vote, to emphasize the role of elections in a democratic society, to promote ethical voting and discourage electoral malpractices. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and KDMC officials. It commenced from the Vande Mataram Degree College premises and proceeded through key locations in Dombivli (W), covering areas like Nemade Galli, Dombivli Station before concluding at KDMC voter office.
The rally was flagged off by Pawar saheb senior officials from KDMC along with the principal of Vande Mataram Degree College. Students carried placards, banners, and posters with slogans like
"Your Vote, Your Right!" and "Be a Responsible Citizen".
Pamphlets highlighting the voting process and the importance of informed voting were distributed among residents and commuters.
The rally received a positive response from the local community and passersby, who appreciated the efforts of the students and officials. Many first-time voters expressed their willingness to register and participate in the upcoming elections.
The Voters Awareness Rally 2025 was a resounding success in promoting electoral participation and responsibility. The collaboration between KDMC and the NSS Unit of Vande Mataram Degree College played a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of the event.
