Maharashtra State Assembly Election Duty by NSS Volunteers of Vande Mataram Degree College, Dombivli (W) Association with KDMC

• Venue: Various polling stations across Dombivli (W) under the jurisdiction of KDMC
• Supervising Authority: NSS Programme Officer, Vande Mataram Degree College and KDMC Election Officers.

On the occasion of the Maharashtra State Assembly Election held on 20th November 2024, the NSS Unit of Vande Mataram Degree College, Dombivli (W), actively participated in election duty in collaboration with the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC). The aim was to assist in the smooth execution of the democratic process and promote electoral awareness and discipline among citizens. The volunteers were stationed at different polling booths and KDMC help desks, where they Helped maintain orderly queues and guided voters to their respective polling booths. Provided directions and support, especially to senior citizens, differently-abled voters, and first-time voters. Promoted ethical voting practices and encouraged participation through polite engagement. The involvement of NSS volunteers of Vande Mataram Degree College in the Maharashtra State Assembly Election 2024 stands as a commendable example of youth participation in nation-building.
